Steven J. Childs, Lead Pastor
As lead Pastor for Faith Inc. Stephen Childs has been able to take over 30 years experience in Christian ministry as well as music education and production to help build a Church unique in its overall approach to Christian evangelism. Pastor Steve started out as a creation science lecturer, teaching on the validity of the Judaeo Christian Bible which led to his first ministry called “The Stephen J. Childs Christian Outreach Ministries” (CCOM) dedicated to uniting churches in Christian outreach events. At the same time He also started his successful music production company called “Musically Speaking Studios” where he has enjoyed teaching, recording and producing music for over 30 years. Before the start of Faith Inc, He became a Young Adults Pastor and Creative Arts Director of his local church which opened the door to many ministry opportunities, all of which helped him on his journey to take the Lead Pastor position at Faith Inc. Pastor Steve is married to his wife, Dez Childs, who is the Creative Arts director of Faith Inc and is an accomplished Christian singer/songwriter. They have 4 children and 4 grand children.
Desiree Childs, Creative Arts Director
Desiree Childs is a Jersey-native singer, songwriter, and worship leader. At the age of 15, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and began leading worship at age 17 while working on her own contemporary Christian music. Shortly after, she first received a degree from Berkeley College in Music Business. She then attended Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murietta, California, where she graduated in 2010 with an associates degree in Theology. After Bible College, she married her long time best friend and fellow musician Stephen Childs in 2011. She and Steve embarked on a dream to write and record her first album called Heart Cry, which was released in 2012. After touring her music for some time, Dez and Steve welcomed their first child, Tristan, in May of 2016. They also released her second album Work of Art. In 2019 she worked with Scotty Wilbanks (pianist and producer for NewSong, Third Day, Luke Bryant) on five new CCM songs and then welcomed their second child, Zoe, in 2020. Dez is now solely focused on her calling as creative arts director for Faith Alive, the music ministry of Faith Inc., as well as overseeing the songwriting teams.
